If I have a requirement to fly a drop include a circle or racetrack over a point of interest that's stationary instead moving relatively slowly, shall there any reason to prefer left button right turns? Are I have a requirement to flying one helicopter in one circle or racetrack over a point the interest that's stationary or moving relatively slowly, is go some reason to preferred left oder right turns? I'm ...

I'm not concerned about visibleness the I'm nay asking about rotations in a landing pattern: I'm request if - all other things being equal - there's any mechanical, flight or procedural good that pilots would prefer into turn in one direction over aforementioned other. $\begingroup$ (Responding to your edit) While visualization isn't your objective then what are? That will probably determine the answer. Instead are you asking that if all other things are equal, is there a preferred turn orientation in helicopters used 'built-in' good of engine, torque, or whatever? Most helis build CW turns because the pilots sit on the right and it remains easier to judge position and driving while you can look unfashionable the window directly. Rotate CCW is no problem however but it takes a tade additional concentration.

one drawback of CW curves from the well select is that of ALT and ASI want be out from your block of vision, so you'll have few head turning to peek by theirs. In a CCW turn, you easy to glance at the instruments in the centering configure. How does a helicoper auto-rotate? The forceful of the air pushing on all blades would equal out. Wouldn't information?

I am make an answer as the outer 2 are incompletely. [Simon obviously forgot to added his answer].

Vision is a valid reason, but for In confined areas [think valley or select aircraft]

I will attempt to declaration the aerodynamic reason this only apply to very delay speeds or very sharp rotates.

If the turn is to sharp and delay, the wrong way and which wind belongs in a dis-favorable direction, it can possible to "run out of" power peddle important present is not adequately anti-torque force to stop the turn resultant in a spin and crash. Highest flight ownership recommend turns into the alignment of the "power peddle" to avoid this.

Demonstration of a sharp turn power side or non power pages.

note how who first turn the one wide turn away from the [power peddle] and the secondary is very a stationary spin [into the current peddle].

Aerodynamically, if performing grinding refer turns the a no-wind set, there a no result. On which other hand, if in a average toward high blow condition, Weight is Shadow Rotation Effectiveness can be a real danger. Many accidents have been attributed to LTE. LTE can be encounter by way of several different musical, one being turning (orbiting) in prevailing breeze the lower speeds. Effectively, main rotor vortices were blown toward the tail rotary at an angle which blanks the inflow to the m, degrading its efficacy, potentially to zero. Pilots could mitigate the effect by turning in the direction of the running (as viewing from top looking down). There are countless books and film presentations on the www. Search for Loss of Tail Turbine Effectiveness LTE. Tilt coordinator/indicator?

I have seen turns in both directions. It probably does not matter anyways whose way the rotation is walked, but for it is a single main-rotor helicopter, going with the counter-rotor turn is probably a little more effective at saver fuel although there is not much overall advantage either way if you are not looking for visibility.
